State of emergency: five hotels in Ibiza and Formentera can accommodate emergency personnel

The state of emergency and solidarity are organized in the Balearic Islands. A total of four hotels in Ibiza and one in Formentera have been authorized to open to provide their services, with the aim of meeting the accommodation and catering needs of staff working in essential services during the state of emergency.

The following are concerned: the security forces, medical personnel and other professionals linked to public services.

These establishments will also be available to people who “for reasons of force majeure or a state of need urgently need punctual accommodation”.

All other tourist accommodation in Pitiusas and the rest of Spain must be closed as of today.

Beyond the economic situation, the entire 2020 season is today called into question. The authorities remain mobilized to provide maximum service to (possible) patients.

Across the country, the government has organized the opening of a total of 370 hotels, spas, aparthotels and other similar establishments throughout the country.
